Ludum Dare 25 Kickoff Event December 14th 6pm

Come by Crashspace to see the theme announcement and start your project for the 25th Ludum Dare competition.

Ludum Dare is a crazy little competition to make a video game in 48 hours. Impossible? Nay! You can do it too, you just need to loosen up your standards a little and possibly lose a little sleep.

We’ll have some people who’ve done the event before to explain the nuances and community resources available. Even if you aren’t a programmer there are options, like WYSIWYG tools GameMaker and RPGMaker.

The theme is announced at 6pm Pacific time, at which point we’ll have a big brainstorming session for how to make a game that fits well, and decide how we’re going to proceed. Last time we ended up forming a Jam team, although people are perfectly welcome to proceed on their own, or just come by and spectate.

Expect snacks and drinks to make an appearance, open at the space for anyone interested in Ludum Dare.

There’s no set time, but I expect people to be there most of the day after about noon. You can tell for sure if anyone is there by looking at: http://crashspacela.com/sign/
